Dream Cruises to Showcase Inspirational Experiences at Sea

During Hong Kong International Travel Expo

Hong Kong, 13 June 2016 – Trade partners, travel media representatives and members of the public will be able to experience Dream Cruises, the first-ever Asian luxury cruise line, at the upcoming International Travel Expo (ITE) in Hong Kong over the course of the four-day expo, which commences on June 16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Dream Cruises is Genting Hong Kong’s new cruise line, catering specifically to the large and rapidly growing high-end market in China and Asia. The cruise line offers inspirational luxury, which is Asian at heart and international in spirit, delivering the highest levels of onboard guest service and spacious comfort in the region. Genting Dream, currently undergoing fit-out at shipbuilders Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, will debut from her homeport of Guangzhou (Nansha) in November this year.

When guests visit the Dream Cruises booth, they will have the opportunity to take photos with the hull art which adorns Genting Dream. Conceived by Chinese pop-artist Jacky Tsai, the art piece entitled “Voyage of a Lover’s Dream” envisages an ethereal and fantastical journey of love between a mermaid and an astronaut. A brand video will be showcased on high quality LED TV screens, product and service introduction can also be accessed via booth iPads. Each guest will take away with them a beautiful branded folder, packed with information on the wonder and excitement that a cruise on Genting Dream represents.

On the days when the expo is open to members of the public, people will be welcomed ‘onboard’ into our booth by a glamorous mermaid, the icon of Dream Cruises. On June 18, there will be a seminar on how Genting Dream is designed for people’s dreams from 16.30 – 17.00 in Forum B, showing ITE visitors what guests can look forward to when they set sail on Genting Dream, which features the comfort of authentic Asian hospitality combined with the finest experiences from around the world.”

In its 30th year, ITE is expected to draw over 12,000 visitors from around the region and is Hong Kong’s only international travel trade show. The expo will take place from June 16-19; the first two days are open to trade partners only, while on June 18-19 the expo is open to public.
