Japanese designer Naoko Tsuruta was chosen as one of the Top 5 Haute Couture Designers in Asia by Fashion Asia Awards 2016 and selected as one of the “40 Designers under 40” by “Perspective Magazine” in 2012.
Born in Tokyo, Japan and having lived in New York, Germany, Austria and Hong Kong, as well as having travelled to more than 40 countries, her designs are dynamic, unique and express inspiration from her multicultural experiences. Ms. Tsuruta also holds the distinction of being the designer of the National Costume during the final competitions of Miss Universe Japan and Mrs. World Japan.
She began her career with jewelry design which led to her passion in pursuing a career in designing. She was chosen as Pearl Princess in Japan, while studying Art History in Sophia University. Being chosen as a finalist for Miss Japan, as well as being a professional model, Naoko is aware of the diversity in beauty that exists within. Her vision is to make women demonstrate their ultimate best while looking and feeling charming and gorgeous.
