GENTING CRUISE LINES INTRODUCES DREAM CRUISES’ NEWEST SHIP, WORLD DREAM, IN MANILA AND BORACAY

Catering to the regional high-end market with exciting Sector-cruise and Fly-cruise itineraries for Filipinos

Manila (the Philippines) 23 November 2017 – Genting Cruise Lines celebrated the arrival of Dream Cruises’ second new ship, World Dream, today at the Manila South Harbor in the presence of 400 guests including government dignitaries, media, business and trade partners. World Dream is the sister ship to Genting Dream which debuted last November to great acclaim receiving a Star Performer Top Ten rating in the Large Resort category of the highly-revered Berlitz Cruising and Cruise Guide 2018 along with ‘Best New Ship’ and ‘Best Cruise Line – Entertainment’ recognitions at the Travel Weekly Asia Reader’s Choice Awards 2017, and will double the capacity for Dream Cruises, Asia’s luxury cruise line, in the region.

Notable attendees at the debut event included Assistant Secretary Daniel Mercado from the Philippine Department of Tourism and Attorney Solfia Arboladura, Director of Manila Tourism & Cultural Affairs Bureau, among other key VIPs from the travel and cruising authorities.

With homeports in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, Nansha, World Dream takes guests on two weekly alternating 6-day/5-night itineraries to exotic and popular destinations including Boracay and Manila in the Philippines and Ho Chi Minh and Nha Trang in Vietnam, as well as 3-day/2-night Weekend Vacation cruises from Hong Kong in the South China Sea.

In conjunction with World Dream’s inaugural call to Manila today, as well as to Boracay on 22 November 2017, Dream Cruises is also pleased to offer Filipinos the chance to experience World Dream with special one-way cruise itineraries from Manila to Hong Kong, as well as Fly-Cruise options from Hong Kong to Manila.

Mr Thatcher Brown, President of Dream Cruises said, “We are truly excited to debut World Dream in Manila, a travel hub with great potential for the region, today and in Boracay on 22 November 2017. The Philippines continues to be an important market for the Genting Cruise Lines brands and Dream Cruises is proud to carry the torch in supporting the country’s tourism industry and also throughout the region. With the introduction of World Dream, Dream Cruises has now doubled the size of its fleet in just under a year and we are appreciative of the continued support of our numerous business partners in helping us achieve this milestone.”

World Dream will provide guests with the highest levels of service and spacious comfort that Dream Cruises has become known, with over 70 per cent of staterooms featuring private balconies and a selection of connecting rooms catering to extended families and groups. World Dream will also feature the well-received Dream Palace “ship within a ship” enclave offering more suites and all-inclusive options and privileges. Several new restaurant concepts along with exciting entertainment options that combine both high tech and sensorial experiences will provide a variety of leisure activities to please every passenger. World Dream will also feature the World’s First Himalayan Salt Stone Massage at Sea, over 35 restaurants and bar concepts, expanded duty-free shopping with new shops and brand partners, including Asia’s First Tiffany & Co. at Sea and the World’s First Dior Watches & Jewellery at Sea; and many more exciting features and entertainment.

The recognized Crystal Life Spa brand will operate both the Western Spa and Asian Spa on World Dream for the ultimate in pampering and self-indulgence.

“With the well-received launch of Genting Dream last year, Dream Cruises has been able to build on the success of the inaugural ship to fine tune World Dream to better cater to the needs of affluent, independently-minded and confident Asian travellers,” added Mr Brown. “Along with serving the regional high-end market, World Dream will appeal to multi-generational families with all-inclusive activities, the finest Asian and international dining and unforgettable entertainment – all delivered with service that is Asian at heart and international in spirit. With World Dream and Genting Dream, Dream Cruises will continue to fulfil our mandate to deliver guests on a transformational journey at sea and redefine the meaning of inspirational travel.”
